ECOsmarte
The ECOsmarte Point-of-Entry product-line brings state-of-the-art electronic ionization, titanium oxidation and multimedia filtration into the residential water market. This breakthrough, ECOsafe technology is now available from Lowe's Soft Water Service, Inc. The ECOsmarte system offers dual media filtration along with copper ionization and titanium oxidation, creating a new standard in potential water quality for whole house filtration systems. A growing number of commercial users also enjoy our ECOsmarte technology.
The ECOsmarte Point-of-Entry System replaces water softeners and conditioners, iron filters, chemical feeders, taste and odor filters, and most other water treatment methods. You will have bottled-water quality throughout your entire home. The system does not remove beneficial minerals like copper (we add it), calcium and magnesium from your water, while the oxygenation lowers its surface tension, known as "wetter water". The result is water that tastes great, has no odor, and is more absorbent for both plants and people. For this reason, ECOsmarte benefits your outdoor water, too. In the year 2000, golf courses began using the ECOsmarte technology to drastically reduce chemical usage and wetting agents required to keep their grass green and healthy.
Point-of-Entry System
The Point-of-Entry System is configured to your specific needs. It treats all the water in your home or business, indoor and outdoor, hot and cold. It does not restrict, limit or otherwise reduce your supply of available water, and commonly discharges better water that the source water.
ECOsmarte ionization and oxygenation will also protect your plumbing and fixtures. Ionization prevents minerals from forming hard scale by electrically charging the minerals so they cannot bind together. The System converts the calcium to keep it "soft", as the digestible calcium bicarbonate. This also contributes to "wetter water". Your treated water will slowly dissolve existing scale in your pipes, water heater, appliances and plumbing fixtures. The greatest causes of equipment failure or inefficiency are scale and corrosion, which are eliminated by ionization. It increases equipment life and reduces maintenance problems for coffee-makers, dishwashers, clothes washers and ice makers. Your appliances and equipment will operate efficiently, ultimately reducing energy costs, chemicals and soap usage. Salt or potassium is not used or needed, so no environmentally unfriendly brine is discharged.
The ECOsmarte Point-of-Entry System creates charged particles in the water called ions. Mineral Ions are safe and essential for humans, plants and animals, but are lethal to bacteria, algae and some viruses. Ionization and oxygenation are combined with granulated activated carbon (GAC) and optional Hydroxite™ media for the ultimate in multi-media whole-house water filter media. The Hydroxite™ media and the automatic backwashes performed by our custom produced Pentair filter valve re-energize the GAC, allowing it to maintain maximum effectiveness for at least five years, and usually more. ECOsmarte systems carry a full five-year warranty.
